We are proud to have an opportunity to announce that Nermin Đuzić, our student from Genetics and Bioengineering department, is actively participating on the thirteenth Croatian Student Summit (CROSS), which is taking place from 18th to 21st April at the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine.
The Croatian Student Summit is an international scientific congress of students and young scientists in the field of biomedicine, which found its place as one of the leading congresses in its field, not only in Croatia, but in the entire region. This project was started by the Student Council of School of Medicine at the University of Zagreb in the academic year 2004/2005, in collaboration with the School of Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Zagreb.
Since we live in a world of constant technological and scientific advancements, it is very important to keep up with the latest discoveries. Multidisciplinary approach is the key in bringing together medicine and modern technology. To give people a glimpse of what the future of medicine holds and just a taste of what it has to offer, “Innovations in Health” was chosen for this year’s Congress topic.
CROSS is a place of sharing ideas, spreading knowledge and meeting new people. The goal of CROSS is to give students and young scientists at the very start of their careers an opportunity to see how important congresses like CROSS are in their education. We are glad to announce that our student Nermin Đuzić presented his work by performing a poster presentation on the topic “Automatic Plant Watering System by means of Suitable Electronics” and also published his abstract on mentioned topic in the Congress’ Book of Abstracts. Namely, he presented medical aspects of his work on the Poster Session “Clinical Medicine”.
We want to congratulate our student for publishing his work and thus representing not only his work but also the power of education at our University, whose professors and staff members are doing their best to push up and prepare students for publishing their scientific works at various congresses and conferences.
